Gas cylinder: Does anyone know who left a gas cylinder at the Caversham Church door last Tuesday? Please contact the office if you know about this.

 

Caversham Working Bee – all helpers welcome: on Saturday 17th June, 10am, it is proposed to hold a working bee around the Caversham buildings (weather permitting). We will have a general tidy up (gardens, paths etc) so if you can spare an hour or so, please come along with gardening tools or outside broom.

 

Afternoon Communion will be held at Caversham next Sunday, 18th June, at 2.30pm. This shorter service is offered for those unable to attend the morning services but is, of course, open to everyone. For transport assistance please phone Sybil on 487 8018.

 

Caversham Women’s Fellowship: meets next Monday, 19th June, in Dutton Lounge at 1.30pm for a short meeting then at 2pm our guest speaker will be Kath Beattie, who will tell us about her very interesting travels in southern Ghana as part of a drumming & dancing group. All welcome.

OCTACAN, now in its 9th year, takes place on Thursday 22 June; in addition to the call-out for cans, this year PSO is doing a street collection along George Street and at local supermarkets from 9.00 to 3.00pm. We are a looking for smiling volunteers to shake a bucket for and hour or so.  All funds donated on the day will go towards purchasing food for the foodbank throughout the year.  Money is very important to the foodbank as it allows us to buy perishable food, to supplement the tinned items we distribute.
