Parish Social Games Evening: 7.15pm on Saturday 28th August …….. darts, mini-putt, bowls, pool followed by supper – a fun event at Westpac Bowls Stadium, 38 Tahuna Road. Adults $18, youth $10. Please register your interest with Anne Watkins (488 1000) or the office (487 6367) BY NEXT SUNDAY, 22nd August, as we will need to know numbers. Invite your friends – it will be a lot of fun!!
Combined Parish Service – Sunday 29th August – being the 5th Sunday of the month, there will be a combined service at St Margaret’s Green Island at 11am (morning tea at 10.30am.) This will be a special occasion where one of our young people will be baptised and 2 others confirming their baptism. There will not be services at either St Clair or Caversham on this day. It would be helpful if people from across the parish could bring a small contribution for morning tea. We would appreciate it if those people needing transport and those who have a spare seat in their car could meet up at either Caversham or St Clair Churches about 10.20am, so everyone will have the opportunity to attend this service.
World Vision Child Sponsorship – Thank you so much to everyone who helps us support Christina and her village in Tanzania. The new list is on the back table for those who wish to make their donation for the 2010/2011 year.

Support for Robert and Caroline Loo: If you would like to make a donation to assist the family, we invite you to place this in an envelope suitable marked. We will forward all donations to the family in Invercargill at the end of this week, so please let Wendy know if you wish to donate and are unable to get your donation in before then.
A note of caution…..please be aware of the new pedestrian crossing in Green Island (between St Margaret’s Church and the Post Shop) whether you are a pedestrian or driver in this area– visibility is limited and there have been a number of close calls with pedestrians and cars.
Parish Flea-market: we still have a vacancy for someone to look after the parish stall at the monthly market at Caversham, held on the 2nd Saturday of each month. If a number of people were available, we could make up a roster, so each person wouldn’t need to be there each time.
