Green Island Market Day – is THIS Saturday, 2nd December, 10am – 1pm.

Thank you to all who have offered their help; it is not too late for others to offer their help – please let either Alison (488 4205) or Sue  (487 7899) know.  If you have taken raffle cards to pre-sell, please return these to the parish office or either Alison or Sue by Saturday morning.

We would appreciate more good books, toys and games, and produce or anything suitable to sell. St Margaret’s Church will be open on Friday 9am -1pm and 4-6pm and on Saturday from 8:30am for goods to be dropped off, or phone Alison to have goods collected. Do come along on Saturday to have morning tea or a BBQ sausage, and join in the fun of the Green Island Market Day when the whole main street will be lined with stalls selling all sorts of things.

Green Island Community Festival of 9 Lessons & Carols: The choir had its first practice last week and needs a lot more people to participate. We encourage you to get your neighbours and friends together and go along to the next practice at St Margaret’s Church at 7.30pm this Tuesday, 28th November.  Previous festivals have been well supported by the community and we encourage you to support the choir as you are able. The Festival will be held at St Margaret’s Church at 7pm on Sunday 17th December. Any questions, please contact Rodney on 488 2648 or Ken on 453 4744.

Omission: Acknowledgement of Pat Sinclair's death and funeral was omitted from the latest Coastal Press. Pat died on 6 November 2017 and her funeral was conducted by Rev Ken Baker.  Pat had a long and faithful connection with Coastal Unity Parish and served in a variety of ways.  We extend our sympathy to her family and friends.
