Green Island Market Day – Saturday 2nd December. Our parish will again hold a mini-fair as part of this large community event, and is seeking offers of help from across the parish. Donations for a grocery hamper raffle can be brought to either worship centre on Sundays (or the office) along with other saleable goods. Could you pre-sell raffle tickets?  We will serve morning teas again, so offers of baking and offers to help on the day, or with setting up on Friday 1st would be appreciated. Please indicate on the clipboard today where you can help or contact Alison (Green Island) on 488 4205 or Sue (Caversham) on 487 7899.

Frances O’Connell is calling for Hospital Chapel Hosts / Hostesses: Patients enjoy attending the chapel service every Sunday morning at 10.30am.  We currently have a list of people from Dunedin churches who act as hosts and hostesses for this service. However, several are no longer able to be part of this team and we are asking for more volunteers to go on our roster.  The job involves two people visiting the hospital wards on a Saturday to invite patients to the Sunday chapel service.  Then on the Sunday the host/hostess will co-ordinate the chapel assistants – a team from another church / organisation – to bring the patients to the chapel and return them afterwards. Ideally, if we had a few people from each church in Dunedin, we would be able to compile a roster where this is shared so that each group will be on duty only a few times a year. If anyone would be interested in volunteering for this valued part of our ministry to the patients please contact Frances O’Connell, Chaplaincy Administrator at the hospital – 474-0999 ext 58130, email This email address is being protected from spambots.
