Special Appeal for Lunch@Sidey: during October we are inviting members of the parish to contribute in support of our very successful community mission, Lunch@Sidey. Many of you generously provide soup for this Thursday lunch, and we receive bread and vegetables from Foodshare. However, we regularly need to purchase tea, coffee, sugar, milk, margarine etc and our funds are now running low.
If you are able to help support the lunch in this way, please place your donation in a marked envelope with your offering any Sunday in October, or send directly to the office. Thank you.
Give Hope this Christmas: Christian World Service’s Gifted programme enables you to support one of CWS’s overseas programmes helping people build better lives for themselves and their families. Gifts include fruit trees for a Filipino family, bees for a Sri Lankan family, a water tank for a Ugandan family, goats or sheep for a Palestinian family, classroom materials for rural Haiti, medical care for Palestinian mothers etc etc. In return, you receive a gift card to give to your family or friend which shows the gift made to communities overseas.
