Calling Caversham soup-makers: Today we have fresh vegetables and some frozen stock available at Caversham to be made into soup for Lunch@Sidey. Soup can be brought in on any day during the week as we can freeze it until needed. Thanks for your support of this programme.

 

Next Sunday 30th April – being a 5th Sunday, will be a combined Parish service at Caversham, starting at 10.30am followed by a shared lunch. The Freemasons of Coastal Otago will join us on this occasion (see your April CoastalPress.) Please bring food to share for lunch next Sunday.

 

Quiz & Dessert Night 2017 is coming up on Wednesday 24th May, 7pm in Sidey Hall. Start asking friends and neighbours to keep this date free for an evening of fun and yummy food!! Only $20 a team (up to 6 people) so start getting your team(s) together now!!

 We would appreciate donations of wine, chocolates and raffle prizes (new items only please) which can be brought to the parish office.

Caversham Women's Fellowship:  tomorrow, Monday 24th April. Meet at Caversham Church at 1:15pm to share rides into Dunedin to visit "Unstitched" shop at 23 Princes St. (opposite old D.I.C. entrance.) Bring gold coins for afternoon tea.

 

Spirituality Seminar: "Well-being and the Human Soul” led by Prof Grant Gillett;  Dunedin Hospital Chapel, this Thursday 27 April 2017, 1-2 pm.

Grant Gillett is a qualified neurosurgeon and practised until 2006. He is now a Professor of Medical Ethics at the Bioethics Centre of the Otago University Medical School, and a fellow of the Royal Society. He has authored over 350 articles in medical ethics, philosophy, bioethics, the philosophy of psychiatry and neuroscience. Organized by the OTAGO HEALTHCARE CHAPLAINCY SUPPORT TRUST.
