Baking for Moana House: our Local Mission Team will be taking baking to Moana House this Wednesday, 1st March, and would welcome all contributions of baking. Baking can be left at the parish office by Wednesday morning.
Parish Fair: our annual fair will be held at Caversham on Saturday 25th March. This will have an Easter Theme; we invite your help now ……
- We need items for a grocery hamper raffle – please bring to church or to the office
- If you are able to assist on the day, please let the office know.
- Bring in your unwanted yet saleable goods – white elephant, elegant junk, toys, puzzles, books, good used clothing – bring to the church office during office hours, or phone the office to arrange collection
- Pot up plants; make jams and preserves for selling
Hospital Chaplaincy Street Day Collection: will be held this Thursday 2nd March. Thank you for all offers of help. We invite people to donate to this appeal wherever you see collectors this Thursday.
Harvest Thanksgiving Services will be held in the parish next Sunday 5th March. Please bring along fresh produce and other food items to services that day; these will be taken to the Presbyterian Support Foodbank.
Bed-pushing at Hospital: Coastal Unity is rostered to assist with moving patients to the hospital chapel service on Sunday 5th March. If you are able to help with this please phone Sue Lambie on 487 7899.

Ash Wednesday Service: all welcome to an Ash Wednesday service at St Michael’s Anglican Church, 44 Elliott St, Anderson’s Bay on Wednesday 1st March at 5.30pm. Rev Graeme Munro will be preaching.
World Day of Prayer – this Friday 3rd March. All welcome to a service at 1.30pm at St James Church, 293 King Edward St. The liturgy for the service has been prepared by women from the Philippines on the theme “Am I being unfair to you?”
“The Lowdown” is the new South Dunedin Community Newsletter which you can find at www.southdunedin.org.nz or ask for a copy from the parish office. The first edition contains interesting history and other items about South Dunedin and environs.
Church Giving: Have you thought about making your regular donations to the parish by automatic payment??? Many people find this a very convenient way of making their regular contribution. Tax deductible receipts for all donations made by automatic payment or through the envelope system are provided after the end of March each year. Talk to Wendy in the office to find out more or to arrange to set this up.
