What’s happening and when

This project will aim to install around 2,000 native trees and shrubs along the bank of the Yarra River. Revegetation will be mainly in targeted areas between Johnston St and Andrews Reserve with some minor revegetation installed upstream of Johnston Street bridge.

Works are scheduled to commence in early 2021 with initial weed control and revegetation which will be maintained until June 2023.

The project area will be downstream of Dights Falls to the north eastern boundary of Andrews Reserve on the true left hand bank only (looking downstream).

What to expect

You may notice works crews and contractors accessing the site via the walking tracks to conduct weed control and revegetation.
